What are the must-have features of an ecommerce website's design?

I want to hear your thoughts on this topic. I think there is a list of design features that every website must have to stay competitive in the market.

A user-friendly menu;
Advanced search function and filtering;
Call-to-action buttons;
Popups;
Product catalog;
Product page.

What have I overlooked?

Exit pops offering a discount are good. I also recommend adding a loyalty program plugin & social sharing buttons on every product page.

What every eCommerce site should have are intuitive navigation (menu, search bar, footer, etc.), category page, product page, and customer checkout. Each section might have more specific functionalities of an eCommerce website, like breadcrumbs or CTAs, depending on the retailer's niche, inventory, and business goals.

Personally, I think the most important thing is your sales funnel and a well-optimized checkout. People seem to do a lot with their website and end up forgetting it.

Good quality product descriptions and photography. People want to know exactly what they are getting when shopping on-line and can’t physically see or handle the product.
