Weird Search Terms Showing Up – How to Control This?

Hey guys,

I was checking my search terms report and noticed a lot of irrelevant queries triggering my ads, even though I’m mostly using phrase and exact match.

Some of them are loosely related but not really buyer intent.

Already added a few negative keywords, but new ones keep appearing daily.

Is this normal now with Google expanding match types, or is there a better way to control this?

this is pretty normal now with google broad matching behavior even phrase and exact still pull some loose queries
from my experience the only real fix is ongoing search term cleanup + strong negative keyword list plus tightening ad group themes so google has less room to guess
also checking performance weekly and pruning bad terms early helps a lot before budget gets wasted
