Is Video Marketing more effective for increasing traffic to your website?

I will buy some videos from some micro jobs site (fiverr,seoclerk,freelancer..) to promote my web services/sites but would like to know Video Marketing is still more effective for increasing traffic today? :think:
Can you give me any advice
