Yeah of course social media works better in compare to seo if you want to generate traffic in short time. But seo is always better as it gives you long lasting result.

For sure SEO is always ahead of Social media. I'm run couple of FB pages but their conversion rate is pretty low, maybe I'm in IM niche that's why.
Where as Search engine traffic gave me enough leads and conversions.

Well, actually I would answer that SEO will give you more traffic but not a sales. YOu know..? the most of online buy is return visitors, thus I think that the most important to make readers buy your product is that you have to build relationship with those readers. People use social media sites for information related with text, image, links, videos etc. but use Google and other search engines to find out good site to buy products.
