Obviously if you use cloudflare for free than max cdn is better as there servers are fast but if you use cloudflare paid than both are somewhat equal. But i will prefer you to use maxcdn as it is used by the very big websites .

Both are good CDN service providers however, if you are beginner i advise you go with CloudFlare free good luck.
Why I should go with CloudFare? any reasons?

Sir maxcdn is better than Cloudflare in free plan as not every time clouflare is going to deliver you the Content through cdn whereas it is not with MAXCDN.

Interesting assumption to jump to the conclusion that the service which provides a free option is the worst one... that's not a rational way to make a decision... btw - I call that great marketing...

I personally use Cloudflare's free option and as yet have no reason to upgrade to the paid version.... It stopped DDOS attacks and I'm real happy with that... I've never used maxcdn - so I cant compare... so on that note, unless someone who has used both services can explain in a transparent manner without bias pre-assumptions - I'm all ears as to further opinions ...

What are the features compared to each other and what are the benefits to the paid versions of each platform versus each other??? .... again this should be answered by someone whom has used these types of services and can speak from experience.... and with that in mind you'll see its gonna be easy to spot the BS from the genuine ones.... So lets see what gets added to this thread... Will make for interesting reading lol.....

Price always matters when you are going to chose CDN provider Cloudflare pro starts from $20/Mo, Business $200 for each web and Enterprise starting at $5000/Mo. MaxCDN provide two type of plans starter and high volume dont have any free package starting from $9/Mo and $499/Mo. You can get two months free on yearly payment with MaxCDN. CloudFlare own 23 datacenters around the world and these are capable to route your website traffic fast. whereas MaxCDN uses robust network to back up your website hope this helps.

Use CloudFlare Pro supports custom SSL. If you don't use custom SSL, stick with the free version.

I quite agree with this opinion, I heard some complaints from users when they used free plan from cloudfare. Anyone here got the same problem?

CloudFlare is an excellent utility in regards to it's CDN capabilities, and is one of the most widely used solutions on the internet today. With any service that you utilize, there will be negative feedback that will accompany any positive feedback. What most people don't understand is that it's extremely expensive to build a solution such as the one that CloudFlare has to offer, and a lot of the time people will think that because of this that the service should be bullet proof and never have issues... There is no such thing as a bulletproof service, people will always find ways to penetrate or attack a service, there is no sure-fire way to prevent them from succeeding either.

What i'm trying to say is this -- don't knock it until you try it. You never know, it may just be the best decision you've ever made ;)

If we are talking about free plans, there is no big difference between these two CDNs. So you can use anything. If we are talking about paid service, i used only MaxCDN from these two, and it's not bad. If your project is big, don't even think about free plans. Today we are working with Cdnsun. It's decent but prices are high too.
