How to Install 7zip on Centos 6 and 7x version?

Hi,

Can anyone guide me how to Install 7zip on Centos 6 and 7x version?
And after installed, how to compress and unzip files on my VPS using 7zip?
what are the advantages of 7zip over normal zip and unzip on my vps?

Add RPMForge repository:

wget http://packages.sw.be/rpmforge-release/rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el6.rf.x86_64.rpm
rpm -ivh rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el6.rf.x86_64.rpm

Install 7z

yum install p7zip

Extract file

7za x [filename]

Compress file

7za a -mx=9 filename.7z [filename/directory]

7z file format is the only advantage the compression in 7z format is much better than that of the original ZIP format.
