Add extra RAM to VPS package?

Hello,
I have one VPS and a shared hosting package, my vps's using 1GB ram while for next updates, I need increase to 2GB or 3GB ram on each package that my hosting provider offering.
But I only want to add 500MB RAM to my vps instead of upgrading 1 GB as their package. I asked my hosting supporters but they said it's not possible, i need to go with existed package.
my question is it's possible to update 500MB or 200 or 300 MB ram as my requirement on VPS?

You can upgrade your VPS at any time.

Yeah but problem is, they didn't have a package for adding extra 500MB of RAM

In that case, you'll need to go for the extra gigabyte of RAM. Whilst it's technically possible for them to do - if they don't offer it, you can't buy it. There are a lot of providers who don't sell "half a gig", as their plans often come bundled with 2 GB, 3 GB and so on. Leaving half a gig of unused RAM for sale would be pointless for them, and would eventually cut out an entire servers worth of sales, which cuts their income.
