The efficiency and speed of whatever Android emulator you choose will depend on your computer’s specifications especially in your available processors and graphics. I believe low spec PC will only cause you a lot of frustrating issues and errors during and after installation. It is best that you consider an upgrade.

Before you plan an upgrade, you must compare first available emulators in the market, its hardware/software requirements including any involved costs to give you a better selection that suits your needs and budget.

Since members of this forum has already equipped you with suggestions, you can validate these information with other specialists. As a tip, you may visit popular local tech stores or those who specialize in building 2nd hand computers for resale during dead store hours and get free consultation from their technicians who normally provide useful inputs or leads even minimal costs to upgrade. In your particular case, you have to let them know your computer specs and what mobile games or apps you intend to use. You can also get recommendations from local internet rental shops patronized by heavy game enthusiasts.

I suggest you check out first Nox App Player which is easy to install, user-friendly, and compatible to most mobile game apps. All you have to do is go to the official website, check for the latest version and download. I understand it can work well on Windows XP however you may need to make sure you have some minimum system requirements to run it smoothly like 2GB RAM, 2.2 GHz Processor, 2.5 GB Hard disk space, 2GB Video memory and advanced graphic card for gaming purposes.

Just think of your Android Emulator and PC as partners. They have to be compatible to run smoothly and to give you a happy gaming experience.

Try Nox. It is an emulator that is working in both Windows and Mac. Some YouTubers use Nox for livestream gaming so I assume it has great credibility in performance and user interface. I am use Nox whenever I'm charging my phone. My PC has low specs as well so most probably it will work well in your pc. Give me your feedback once it worked for you.
