How To Boost Affiliate Sales

Hey marketers,

I have an affiliate blog which getting around 25 to 40 visitors daily. My goal is to earn up to $150 per month but finding it hard to reach this target because my blog traffic is really not good as mentioned.

My question is, how can I boost affiliate sales and get more traffic to my sites?

The amount of traffic you get is only one part of the equation... You should put efforts to increase conversions with the existing amount of traffic.. The bottom line is if your website does not convert visitors to customers then it does not matter how many people arrive at your site...

In addition I recommend that you spend time examining how you are monetizing your site.. You mention affiliate promotion.. How are you doing that? Are you collecting emails? Are you providing a review with a direct link to affiliate site? Do you have an ad, banner for the product on your site? If its one of the three - then consider adding the other ones in order to increase your conversions...

In addition email marketing offer a great bonus for free... as that can help with increasing your list....

Finally track which methods is yielding the most sales i.e. use different affiliate links or tracking codes on ads, email, posts etc so that you can see which one is performing best... Also consider split testing as a means to identify the which changes work the best....

Beyond that indeed look at increasing traffic.. Consider Ads, social networking, video marketing etc...

wow thats great advice, I have not tried this yet before.

Are you collecting emails? Are you providing a review with a direct link to affiliate site?
But how to grow email list fast while my traffic is very low, how to write a review that drive visitors into potential customers, how can i do that?

1) You could use a pop-up or top bar, bottom bar notification - telling user that if they sign up to your newsletter they'll get some awesome benefits e.g. free report on your target audience pain points and what to do... lets say you are in the acne niche.... perhaps a free report like - ""Sign up to my email list and find out if certain diets can help overcome acne..." ... etc

2) If its a review article.... then you should examine the product which you are promoting.. Ideally buy it if you can.... I would try my best to explain the benefits, pros and cons and then simply tell your reader to click here for more info or to purchase - which takes them to the vendor site... Also check out what your competitors are doing and copy them with doing it better i.e. they have a great review article - why not read it and figure out how you can write one better e.g. provide an infograph, video, comparison chart etc ;-)

With traffic numbers at around 30-40 per day you should be able to achieve a handful of signups per day and an affiliate sale every other day assuming 1% conversion...
