I have a website (installmonetize.com) that I just launched. This niche is fairly low competition, and I'm selling a guide to create software apps and send large amounts of traffic to them. Now I just need to figure out how to get traffic to my website. Specifically I'm looking to build organic traffic, as this tends to have the lowest bounce rate from what Ive seen. Anyone know any good methods to increase this type of traffic?

Then you need to optimize your website for organic traffic. What type of organic traffic do you want? SEO? Another way to get organic traffic is to interview an expert, once people start sharing that interview because the person is popular/influential then you'll eventually get organic traffic.

If you're going the SEO route then you need to optimize your website for search engines. Apply some on-page as well as off-page SEO. Study your competition then come up with an SEO strategy that will help you outrank them in search engine results.

You can use tools such as SemRush, Moz, Majestic, Ahres etc. to study your competition.

You also need to study your niche, to find out what type of content most webmasters link out to. Find people who link to other websites or content in your niche and strategies on how you can get those links.

Also do some guest posting, even if it's not on a similar niche but guest posting on closely related high traffic blogs will also result in organic traffic.

Hope that helps.

I will give you steps to get organic traffic:

1-First do keywords research and see how much is your competition. if your product with high competition and you have low budget then I advice you go to low compitition product.

2-write valuable unique and seo optimized content.

3-promote your site on social media accounts like facebook, twitter, tumblr and others.

4-hire someone on fiverr to do social bookmarking for you. or you can do it your self.

5-have good backlinks from forums, blogs and other site.

6-keep adding valuable content.

and wait until next update, you will start to see traffic.

Heavily SEO'd? I can honestly say I've gotten a couple good chuckles out your threads mate.

YOur site wasn't SEO'd at ALL.

I do like your site designs. They're very minimalistic and clean. Interested in a web design position at my company? I deal with local businesses and they need these type of designs all day.

I'll handle the on-site optimization ;)

The majority of people start out by building a website and then trying to figure out how to generate traffic for it.

You already know that you want organic traffic. So knowing that, I would have started out by creating a site specifically designed to attract organic traffic. In your particular situation I would have started out by creating a site that explains how to create software apps or a site that explains how to promote software apps or both. That way the site(s) would already be positioned to attract that audience. Then it is just a matter of going wherever that audience is online right now (forums and blogs where people are discussing apps) and letting those audiences know that there is a site that explains all of that.

Then my site would just happen to sell the information product that teaches them what they want to know in the deepest detail possible.

Being in your situation, I would keep your app site like it is (basically a conversion tool for selling your info-product). And I would launch a completely separate website doing what I described above. I would create a small authority site that explains what people want to know about how to make money creating and selling software apps. I would use that small authority site to attract perfectly targeted prospects. And then I would promote the product and other website to that audience.

That's great advice... In a nutshell its far better to get traffic which is warmed up to your potential offer than to receive cold traffic which lands on your offer page... Hence its a great idea to create such helper/tier one sites as that can help significantly with getting targeted traffic... Its far better to get targeted relevant traffic than tons of traffic which does not convert...

To add to that I also recommend list building in a similar manner... You can set up many sites and ads which can help collect leads and through your autoresponder sequence you are able to turn cold leads into warm leads - hence why many IM'ers state over and over again the importance of list building....

For organic traffic, you should focus on social media marketing, blog posting, guest article submission, social bookmarking and press releases.
