Yes, i totally agree with you, by creating profile in G+, it will be indexed in google, since G+ is a google's product, making use of G+ is always a better choice.

If you want Social media accounts for marketing I wouldn't recommend Google+. Do you think we should use it? Why?

G+ was useful for SEO Past days but presently I think this is completely wast of time for SEO by using this platform.
