Does Google+ still help with SEO?

I've heard that Google+Posts and profiles can greatly help with SEO so many days ago. But is it still beneficial?

Recently I got a thread of Google+ and there as a discussion about Google+ that Google+ won't be any longer and Google+ isn't getting good response but I don't think Google+ is unuseful.

Google+ is one of the best social media network and still it's useful to get a backlink.

That is total BS. Nobody uses it. The links are weak AF. It is utterly worthless. Google has been dying to shut it down completely and the recent incident gave them the excuse they needed.

I have also heard it help to benefit of SEO but recently it has stopped. But you can use it for bookmark or blog or Social media creation. Thanks
