The point is, it's no secret that WP has a bunch of plugins that allow you to implement anything. But is it possible to implement a great site with a minimum number of them using only standard tools?

According to me, it is possible to create a great website using only standard tools in WordPress. While WordPress plugins can be extremely useful for adding functionality and customization to your site, they are not always necessary.

The core WordPress software provides a solid foundation for building a website, including features such as custom post types, taxonomies, and the ability to create and manage pages and posts. Additionally, there are many WordPress themes available that come with a variety of design and layout options, making it easier to create a visually appealing site without the need for additional plugins.

Of course, the specific requirements of your site will determine what tools and plugins you may need. But, with the right combination of WordPress core features, a well-designed theme, and a little bit of custom code, it is possible to create a great website with a minimum number of plugins.

Yes, of course it is possible, and I actually prefer the minimalist approach. Too many plugins are just a bloated waste of space, and I would even argue that WP itself is bloated and over-hyped.

Absolutely! While WordPress offers a wide range of plugins for functionality, it's indeed possible to create a great site using minimal plugins and relying on standard tools. By leveraging built-in features, themes, and customizations, you can optimize performance, maintain security, and have more control over your website. It may require some additional effort, but it allows for a streamlined and efficient website that meets your specific needs.

Yes, it is possible to create a great site on WordPress using minimal plugins. By utilizing built-in features, customization options, and a lightweight theme, you can reduce plugin dependency. Leveraging the Gutenberg block editor or a lightweight page builder can help create dynamic layouts without excessive plugins. Optimizing performance and security directly within WordPress can minimize the need for additional plugins. Hand-coding custom functionality and periodically auditing and removing unnecessary plugins can further streamline your site.

Absolutely! You can create an outstanding WordPress site with minimal plugins, relying solely on standard tools.

Here's what you can do:

1. Leverage WordPress's built-in features to craft an impressive site. For instance, utilize the built-in blog for a seamless blogging experience, the media library to store images and videos, and the contact form to gather valuable feedback from visitors.

2. If you require a specific feature not available in WordPress, you can use custom code. Custom code lets you add unique functionalities beyond plugins and can enhance your site's performance.

3. In case you decide to use plugins, exercise caution. Opt for well-maintained ones with a solid reputation. Reading reviews before installation is a prudent step to ensure compatibility and reliability.

As far as I am concerned, the good answer is no.

You will need at least a few ones like that are essential. One for Seo (Yoast, RankMath), one for the form (Contact form 7, WP form), One for the GDPR (Cookie Notice, Complianz). I can't figure out how to do without these ones.

You should also add some plugins that enhances performance like a cache plugin or Asset CleanUp : Page Speed Booster.
