I’d say Local SEO is great for steady, local clients and predictable income, while blogging can pay off long-term if you’re consistent and pick the right niche. Both work; it just depends on your goals.

I believe SEO is largely saturated, and due to AI, there’s a lot of noise. But there are still strategies that work, and anyone can focus on brand building through off-page SEO activities — mainly article or guest post submissions — to get good traffic, leads, and revenue.

I think local SEO is more profitable if you are providing some services. If you just want to write blogs on different topics and want to earn money, then AdSense is the best option.

Both have great potential but I believe local seo offers a faster path to earning money from 2026 onwards. Local businesses like plumbers and dentists are often desperate for leads and they are usually willing to pay a recurring monthly fee if you can rank them in the local map pack.

Blogging is also a huge opportunity but it has become much more competitive due to AI generated content. To succeed in blogging now you really need to focus on building a personal brand and showing real experience to satisfy search engines. If you want quicker results and more stable clients local seo is usually the safer bet for an agency model.
