What do you think of using XML sitemaps?

What do you think of using XML sitemaps?

A site I rebuilt for my niece never had one and was way back in search results and alot of pages not indexed. Now the new site complete with XML sitemaps is ranked on first page and fully indexed.

If you have a website with 1,000 webpages or more, regular changes, and/or plenty of new material included regularly…then yes, you should be using XML sitemaps.

If you have a huge web page with over 10,000 webpages, or one with strong material (content that needs more than 4 mouse clicks from the home-page to reach), then you definitely need to use XML sitemaps.

These are must for any website as it helps Google for indexing more pages from any website. I do not think that you should neglect this fact to keep Google updated.
