Benefits of Google Pagerank for SEO?

Hi there,

Seem all of us want to have high PR (pagerank) for our websites after google updated PR. but high PR for what and its benefits then we couldn't know..so I have a question that which is benefits of Google Pagerank for SEO?

Can anyone show me

Well, there is no direct benefit of having pr in SEO, if you are buying or selling links then you can check pr as well.

I think page rank doesn't help in SEO directly. But indirectly it will help in SEO. Page rank means - how much important a webpage in the eye's of Google.
High page rank site is much better than low page rank site.
If a site page rank is high that means the site has high quality backlinks and that help in SEO.
