Social buttons make your site load slowly?

I heard my friends and reading some articles said that Social buttons make our site load slowly?

It's true or not ? why ? if it's true then we should integrate social button into our website or not ?

Please share your ideas.

I am also using these three and one more pinterest but never faced any such problems for my website. I think in your site it might be a problem of image size, so you must do image optimization, it really works to increase the page loading time for a website.

Thanks for your ideas but I don't think so because javascript files used to make websites load slower websites without javascript files. So I'm finding tools to check javascript from social networks making my site load slowly.

If you go overboard with numerous amounts of social buttons, the pages may load slower, just research the ones that provide the most traffic and use those.
