Does a search engine crawl this text "<!-- -->" tag?

I viewd sources more websites and found that they putted more comment text in "<!-- -->" tag. I know its possible with that tag. According to you, search engines can looks at those text and crawl/index them?

Really all search engines crawled only to based on website content.
