I have a new domain that is 6 months old. Now the reputation of my domain has decreased.

When I send multiple emails, all of them go to spam. But when I send 5 or 6 emails, they go to the inbox. My question is what is the best way to avoid spam?

Is it better to send 5 emails every 20 minutes or 5 emails every hour?

How long should I wait to avoid the spam box?

Usually whatever mailing client you use will give you a spam score before sending to decrease the likelihood of ending up in the spam folder.

Depending on the size of your list try spreading it out over 24 hours as best you can.

Use strong email filters, add CAPTCHA to forms, and update security measures frequently to prevent spam. Improve overall spam avoidance by teaching consumers how to spot and steer clear of dubious emails.

When trying to avoid emails landing in the spam folder, it's crucial to maintain a balanced sending frequency and adhere to best practices. Sending a consistent volume of emails within a reasonable timeframe can help improve deliverability. Instead of sending multiple emails in quick succession, spacing them out—such as sending 5 emails every hour, might be more favorable. Additionally, consider optimizing email content, avoiding spam-triggering words, ensuring proper authentication (like DKIM and SPF), and regularly monitoring email performance to maintain a positive sender reputation. Waiting for an appropriate interval, possibly an hour or more, between batches of emails can also assist in preventing emails from being flagged as spam. Adjusting and monitoring your sending patterns while maintaining quality content and engagement can help improve email deliverability and avoid spam filters.

Craft engaging and relevant content for your emails. Encourage recipients to interact with your emails by opening, clicking, and replying. Email engagement is a significant factor in determining sender reputation.

Typically, any email application you utilize will provide a spam rating before sending, aiming to reduce the chances of your email being marked as spam.

IMO, When sending multiple emails, spacing them out can help. Sending 5 emails every 20 minutes may trigger spam filters due to the frequency. It's better to send 5 emails every hour to avoid being flagged as spam. Additionally, consider the quality of your email content and ensure it complies with anti-spam regulations. Waiting at least an hour between batches of emails can help maintain a good sender reputation.

Want to keep spam out of your inbox? Start by using strong email filters, keeping your email private, and avoiding suspicious links or downloads. A VMC (Verified Mark Certificate) can also help by showing your brand’s verified logo in emails, making it easier for people to spot real messages and ignore phishing scams.

Are you sending emails from a corporate email? Like [email protected]?
I would advise you to check the correctness of the SPF and DKIM records of your domain.
It is better to send emails using email services. Even in free plans, they check the mail and do not send to fake addresses.

To avoid spam, focus on email list quality and engagement. Use double opt-in to ensure subscribers genuinely want your emails. Keep your list clean by removing inactive users and monitoring engagement metrics. Personalize emails, avoid spammy words, and maintain a balanced image-to-text ratio. Set up feedback loops to track complaints and make unsubscribing easy. Following these best practices improves deliverability and keeps your emails out of the spam folder. 🚀

To build trust gradually, sending 5 emails every 20–30 minutes is safer, especially if your list is cold or your domain is still establishing itself, and make sure your domain has proper SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records set up; those are essential for inbox placement.

You're asking a great and very real-world question, domain reputation is tricky, especially with newer domains.

When your domain is only about 6 months old, mail providers like Gmail and Outlook are still watching your behavior closely. If you suddenly send out a bunch of emails, even if they’re legit, it can trigger spam filters.

Here’s some natural, honest advice based on what usually works:
  • Start slow and build trust gradually. If 5–6 emails are landing in inbox, that’s your sweet spot for now.
  • Sending 5 emails every 20 minutes is safer than sending 50 at once. But to be even safer, spacing them every 30 to 60 minutes is better early on.
  • Consistency matters more than speed. If you warm up the domain gradually over a few weeks, you'll build a solid reputation.
  • Always use personalized subject lines, real names, and avoid spammy words like "FREE" or "CLICK NOW".
  • Make sure your SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records are set up correctly. Gmail checks those.
  • Use a reputable SMTP service (like Amazon SES, SendGrid, or Mailgun) to help improve deliverability.
  • Keep an eye on bounce rates, and never send to scraped or outdated lists.
To answer your question directly:
Sending 5–6 emails every 30–60 minutes is better than doing it every 20 minutes when your domain is still new. You can increase the pace slowly over time.

Hope it helps!
