Buying a Good domain name is very important for the development and growth of every business. If you are planning to buy a domain name for the first time, you should consider the following things to avoid of basic mistakes.

1 - Consider "Transfer-Out" Fees
Every registrar will charge you a small fee for domain transfers from one registrar into another. This might charge you two or three times more than you register for a new domain. This will be located in their "Terms of Service" page. If you did not found this, contact them or start a live chat with them.

2 - Invest your Money wisely
Invest your money wisely by making plans. This helps to prevent money loss in the long run. Choose your Domain Registrant wisely. If you are planning to host your site and domain with the same site, choose the plan that best fits your budget to avoid of temporary service losses in the long run.

3 -Beware of Domain Name Typos
Make sure you register the domain name you want. Once you have fully registered a domain name you may not be able to change it. Three days measured as the time that you have a chance to get your refund and register a new domain name with it. You will not be able to get your refund once the three days is past from the registration date.

4 - Your Domain Name - Your Website's Name
Your domain name should be the same as your website name is. For example, if you have a website called "Better LifeStyle" your domain name should be "betterlifestyle.com". "better.lifestyle" would be even greater if you have found so. This helps people to remember your domain name. Choose the right TLD (Top-Level Domain) which is the ending part of a Domain Name. If your website is US based for example, a .us TLD would be great, just a suggestion you can choose a .com either.

5 - Register your Domain Name for Multiple Years (As well as to keep auto renewals turned on)
Do you know that many famous websites lose their domains and confidence for a small neglect in the beginning?
This is why the register for 1 or 2 years without taking any good care of them. Once you have lost a domain name you'll not be able to take it back. You can only buy it with thousands of dollars from the one who bought it or change your own website's name in order to choose a new one. Isn't a great loss? So what you should do is to renew before it expires or simply, register for multiple years from the beginning. The Goal is to take good care of your domains.

6 - Avoid Registering Trademarked Domains
Some of the Domain Names might be trademarked by their original owners. If you have accidentally end up buying a trademarked domain name you could end up paying thousands of dollars in legal expenses. Make sure the domain name you are planning to register is not trademarked by anybody else.

Thanks for reading, hope you get as much information as you need.
Any questions will be answered, if you see any other thing that should be included, please post it below.

1 and 6 is wrong information.

1- Generally, transfers are cheaper than registrations. (excluding registering domains with godaddy 1$ coupon, 1 & 1, register.it, strato etc.)
This price is for adding +1 year to your owbership.

6- Domain owner never judges from countries law. Trademarks problems gone to WIPO. Maybe some cTLD's does not allow it but.
But owner never pays anything in this way.

Wipo says : "the first-come, first-served nature of the domain name registration system to register names of trademarks, famous people or businesses with which they have no connection"

For example "apple" is a trademark : [URLnf="http://dnpric.es/?q=apple"]http://dnpric.es/?q=apple[/URLnf]
Also "samsung" too : [URLnf="http://dnpric.es/?q=samsung"]http://dnpric.es/?q=samsung[/URLnf]

"Domaining is freedom..."

Yes above mentioned points are need to be considered before buying a domain name, but I think your domain name must be easy to remember also, as at the end you need to do marketing also of your website also, other than this you ex customer must be feel easy to get your domain name in ease way.

Here's an extra tip.

In the event of finding that your preferred domain name is already taken, which happens very often, don't despair. You don't even have to consider using other extensions. Just be a bit creative. Let's say you want sex dot com, which, obviously, is already taken. What you can do is modify the spelling, a bit. Like, say, ssexx. Or even xex. Or add a prefix. Like, say, thesex. Or Allsex.

Get the idea?
