Many websites get spam users and comments. It's hard to get rid of all spam users but there are ways that you can deal with it.

Akismet: This will help fight the spam comments on blogs.

Moderate Posts: Some websites moderate all new user posts which helps so you know that no spammers are getting through.

Staff Members: You want have a few staff members so you know that if your not able to get on the website you know that your staff can handle the website

Email Verification: This will help make sure that users are giving you a correct and valid email.

Image Verification: Most sites now and days use captcha to help stop bots from creating accounts and spamming your website.

Moderate new members: Some websites require a staff member to approve all accounts to make sure that spammers don't have a chance to spam

There are also many other ways to protect from spammers. If you have an idea feel free to leave a reply with your tips
