There are a lot of ways but you have to do

Strong relevant keyword
Optimize meta title and description
Relevant page content

Use the search engines and see what sites they show in the top rankings that are relevant to the keyword phrases you want to rank for. Then contact them and see if you can workout getting a link from them.

It is just a way to help your website on Top of search engines as Google, Bing,...etc and drive traffic from them to you website without paying any fee for ads. If you want to understand SEO, you should study SEO on-page and off-page. There are more tips on this forum, you only need to use for search function
