I mostly use wordpress for blogging as well as for landing pages. Would I see a difference If I host on a VPS? I have an admin I work with that can manage it, I just wonder if it is worth the extra cost?
Anyone have experience with this?

Consider your skills, potential requirements for your website, and how much you are willing to pay for your hosting. Analyzing these factors together will likely give you the answer you want. Some VPS providers do an excellent job of balancing price and performance and can be a happy compromise.

However, shared hosting will always excel if you only want super cheap hosting.

What differences are you expecting? Better resources, sure, but shared hosting will work fine for most basic needs, so if you don't require it then it's not worth the extra expense.

If you are ready to pay extra for VPS, it's a better idea because it provides Administrative access and gives you Dedicated resources, better page loading speed, and High security. But use for, you need to have some technical knowledge about VPS if you purchase an unmanaged plan.
Many VPS providers offer the best VPS with Good Technical support at affordable prices, But if you are familiar with shared plans and have no issues with your site, then there is no need to upgrade your plan to VPS.

When your website or blog have traffic increased, it will be the time you know you need to have a VPS instead for a shared hosting.

If you need hosting for a simple site, then I advise you to choose dedicated hosting. If we are talking about an online store with a lot of traffic, then it is better to give preference to VPS. Also, do not forget about the backup, set everything so that it is performed automatically. I had crashes and auto backup not configured. I had to search data ecovery to fix it. After that, I don't neglect the backup.

Depending on the needs and price range of your website, you can choose between shared hosting and VPS:

Although shared hosting is typically more affordable and simpler to set up, it can result in slower performance and less control over server configuration because you share the server's resources with other websites on the same server.

Virtual Private Server (VPS) hosting offers dedicated resources and more configuration flexibility, but it can be more costly and challenging to set up and manage.

Hosting WordPress on a VPS may provide faster loading speeds, better security, and more control over server resources. But, the added cost may not be worth it unless you have high traffic or specific technical requirements.
