Hi,
I'm facing an issue where some of my pages are not getting indexed even after using the URL inspection tool in GSC.
content is unique , site is clean, but still no luck.
is this normal these days or am I missing something?
looking for your suggestions? hope I will get help.
Hi,
Yes, this has become quite common recently, especially with how Google is prioritizing crawl budget and content quality signals. Even if your content is unique, indexing is no longer guaranteed just by submitting URLs in GSC.
A few things you might want to check:
- Crawl budget & site structure: If your site has many pages, Google may not crawl everything frequently. Make sure important pages are well-linked internally (not orphan pages).
- Content value vs. uniqueness: Unique content is good, but Google now focuses more on usefulness and intent satisfaction. Ask yourself if the page adds real value compared to competitors.
- Internal linking: Pages with strong internal links (from homepage or high-authority pages) get indexed faster.
- Page quality signals: Thin content, duplicate intent pages, or low engagement can delay indexing.
- Technical checks: Ensure no accidental noindex tags, canonical issues, or crawl blocks in robots.txt.
- Backlinks: Even 1–2 quality backlinks can help Google discover and index pages faster.
Also, the URL inspection tool only
requests indexing, it doesn’t guarantee it. Sometimes it can take days or even weeks depending on site authority and crawl priority.
From my experience, improving internal linking and slightly updating the content (adding more depth, FAQs, or fresh data) often helps trigger indexing.
Hope this helps
