Social media growth is getting harder, or are we missing something?

I feel like growing a page today isn’t as easy as it used to be. Even if the content is good, it doesn’t always reach people without some extra push or strategy behind it.
Some say it’s all about consistency and understanding your audience, while others think distribution and initial engagement matter more than anything.

Do you think growth depends more on content, consistency, or getting early reach?

What most don't realize is that you have to change your strategy.

Some years back, you could post external links and get traffic to your website. Nowadays, algorithms will give you zero views for most external links.

I always suggest the 99/1 strategy for social.

99% native content and 1% promotional content.

It's supposed to be more of a joke than a strategy. Really though, try to treat social media as if it is your only online gig. Now, don't make it your only online gig because it's rented space and you can lose it anytime.

But try to treat it like it's your only thing. That means everything you post is meant to grow your following and keep people on your page. Put your link in your bio. They're figure out your website eventually. Trust me. The more followers and loyal followers you get, the more you'll be known in your niche.

Post at scale on the social platform - 3 to 8 times a day. Gary Vee is right about posting at scale.

Make sure its trending content formats: engagement questions, reels, images, stories, live streams, etc. Avoid links if you can.

Build a community. Know your audience. I mean get to know them, especially the top fans. Treat them like your closest family. Be nice to everyone even the haters. Help everyone even the noobs that ask the same question over and over again.

Engage more than you post.

Content is king. Engagement is queen, Consistency is the kingdom that holds it all together.

It's hard to go from a link poster on social to a no-link poster but once you do it, and see how fast growth happens, your attitude changes quickly.

That's my advice.
