3. Develop a voice for your brand. All your marketing materials-including brochures, newsletters, snail mails, banners and business cards, among other tools for internet marketing should establish and function with synchronicity towards developing your identity in the industry by having a unique voice-your brand’s message.

Now you can starting asking yourself, “Do I convey a clear, strong message in everything I do and in every material I use in promoting my business?”

4. Be customer-focused. Tailor your content for your customer’s interests and needs, not on company promotion. In your marketing text, make sure to give what customers want to learn or know about your particular products or services.

I think you covered the external elements for success but I would add these to internal elements to the list:

Pick a niche you feel passionate about or at least have an interest in and a willingness to learn more about. If you jump into an IM niche just to make money but with little interest in the topic then a few weeks/months down the line you’re likely to run out of steam, get bored and find writing each day or week a chore and quickly give up.

Finally, treat IM as a business, not a hobby and get rid of the get rich quick mentality. If you want success you have to be in the business for the long-run and have the drive to wake up and work at it daily. If you cant see yourself working on your site, ranking and traffic in a few years to come then maybe you shouldnt start.

Set your goal I guess this is an important factor in order to be successful in internet marketing. Proper optimization of the search engine is the key in order to build credibility and increase visibility.

Here's my top 5 tips:

1) Before you even begin to put your website/offers together - spend time understanding who your target audience is and what their pain points are... From that you'll be able to figure out benefits over features as well as know what content/products etc is appealing...

2) Incorporate various channels with it all leading back to your optin page... and from their use email marketing as a means to sell/promote etc... Basically your priority should be list building and forming positive relations...

3) Use ads e.g. FB, Adwords etc... Its a great way to test, get immediate results and in parallel adopt SEO for the long haul...

4) Turn cold leads into hot leads.... You do that by warming them up with presenting supporting info before sending them to a sales/offer page....For example setup satellite sites on different platforms etc - which then refers them with the aim of building enthusiasm/excitement... Another example is if of course email...

5) Finally invest in the right tools... It takes spending money to make money e.g. quality web host, autoresponder service, professional themes etc....
