How can I gain website development clients?

Hi, I currently had good knowledge about web design and how to code. I can do awesome design theme in Wordpress and am build something from scratch.

However because I feel really hard to find a good paying client, they all want it for free or way under my quotes. I feel my rates are reasonable and am willing to work within their budget. I just recently lost my job and I desperately need to find a client or I can do eCommerce sites to sell digital products or something else.

So please advise what I should do, I don't have good budget to invest in ads or anything like this. Thanks

The best way to get website clients is to go knock on doors. Get out and start talking face to face with local business owners. Look around and see if your area has meet and greets for small business owners.

You can build a website and offering web design services on it, If you had a decent amount of clients then it is easy to maintain and grow your business. If not, you need to make more efforts to get new clients or using freelancer sites as upwork or freelancer to get client from there
